The Problem

The Spotify Premium teams were struggling to showcase the benfits of Spotify Kids app to parents; a safe way for your children to explore music, without filling your Discover Weekly playlist with countless versions of Baby Shark.

How could we showcase Spotify Kids, as well as allow parents to sample a wide range of content on offer without the barrier of app download?

The Solution

After many colaborative workshops with the client, we arrived at the concept of allowing kids to explore music by selecting emojis in a web based microsite. Essentially a lite version of the Kids app, that would allow parents and children to play, and experience the content on offer in the full product.

It's a playful, intuitive way of exploring sound, which helps to connect music to moods, routines and occasions in an interactive way. The emoji categories included emotions 😜😭, routines 🍽 πŸ› and wildcards πŸ”₯.

We then mapped a wide range of animated characters to the music and moods to add engaging visuals to the build.
